My Dream Vacation
I've always been interested in the ancient Mayan Civilization. I think it would be cool to take an adventure vacation to explore the remains of this civilization. What's your dream vacation? Does it involve relaxation, adventure, or both?

I have always wanted to go to Nova
Scotia and experience the sea. My roommate from college had a long, long bout with cancer and told me that the beaches on the island always gave her peace.
My dream vacation would be space travel... doesn't matter what planet/universe/galaxy...
Spokane, Washington in early March... gondola ride in the park... edutech in the afternoon...
I would like to experience the French culture in Quebec. I would find it fascinating to visit a French area on the same continent as Montana.
My dream vacation would have the best of both worlds--relaxation and adventure. I would love to begin by traveling to Australia and while there I would want to do everything--snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, bungee jump in a scenic canyon, stay with a family in the outback and corral wild kangaroos. I am an adrenaline junkie and love anything that is new and gets my blood pumping.
For the second part of my vacation I would like to stay at a spa for a week. Nothing but pure pampering--seaweed wraps, massages, facials the works.
I visited Hiroshima, Japan five years ago. It was an awesome trip, I learned so much. I would love to be able to travel around the world and learn about other lands, people and cultures. Adventure and relaxation are always in my plans.
Since the Mayan Culture is stereotyped as being blood-thirsty, I am curious as to what part of their culture fascinates you.
And if you could jump into your time machine, would you rather experience their actual culture or stick with the ruins?
The comments to this question are as diverse as the people in this room. If there is a theme to this it is that "People have very different ideas."
It depends on the answer to this question: "Are my kids with us"?
We took my first dream vacation in October 2000 to Disney World. I wanted to take our three children before they got to old. My mother accompanied us so we were able to divide into three groups and see what each child wanted to see. We spent the week running from one attraction to the next. The kids loved it. My next dream vacation would be to take the extended family to a natural, relaxing beach setting. Someplace not too commercial. I would like to do it soon but have to wait until I am finished with my MLS since there is too much homework and work, work to accomplish now to take any vacation.
